CARING FOR THE CAREGIVER TESTIMONIALS

We were so fortunate to have Michele Tamaren present Who Cares? Caring for Ourselves as We Care for Others for the Acton Council on Aging. Everyone who attended left with concrete ideas to help reduce the stress that often accompanies caregiving. Michele is so good at what she does. Her warmth, compassion and intelligence made everyone want to put her on speed dial!

Dear Michele,

Thank you so much for presenting at the Annual Nursing Home Social Work Conference. Your intensive workshop, Nursing Homes as Houses of Healing: Creating a Culture of Compassion, provided the attendees with vital information to be used in their work with residents and families. One of our social workers said it so well, “Michele Tamaren’s workshop needs to be seen by all of our nursing home social work community.”

From beginning to end, Michele engages her audience with her wisdom and genuine presence. It is as if she is speaking directly to each individual as she captivates, synthesizes, and leads us on a journey of self-discovery. In her presentation at our MGH Community Health Center, The Medicine and Miracle of Love, Compassion and Gratitude: Healing and Making Meaning throughout a Lifetime and Beyond, Michele spoke to a diverse group of patients and providers. She shared evidence-based science with heart, humor, and soul about the vital importance of self-care and compassion. She helped each one of us to embrace our own resilience and inner strength.

Dear Michele,

Thank you for you EXTRAordinary presentation, My How You’ve Grown: How the New Science of Positive Psychology Can Inspire Happiness and Well-being in Seniors, Staff, and COAs. Your  workshop for our Massachusetts Council on Aging Annual Conference truly spoke to me on so many levels. This presentation was warm and loving and intelligent, all at the same time, making it extremely inspirational and motivating! I want so many of the people I know to have the same experience and would like to know when you are presenting in this area.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
